Bed & Breakfast
A comfortable stay in a house full of quirks, atmosphere and history
Originally built as riverside accommodation for fishing in the 1700's Woodend house has been transformed over the centuries into the house it is today.
Guests have the run of the front of the house with the views over the river A warm elegant sitting room to enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine; relaxed and unpretentious, a place where you can feel comfortable enough to kick off your shoes and put your feet up in front of the log fire with newspapers, books and magazines.
Each day starts with a cooked or continental breakfast, porridge, free range eggs from the hens at the farm, homemade bread, jams and marmalades. Breakfast is served overlooking the river, if you are lucky you might see a roe deer grazing on the opposite bank. In the summer, if the weather is warm, breakfast can be eaten outside on the terrace.
If you have arranged for a hands on cooking demonstration then Miranda will welcome you to the kitchen.
